GOD'S MANIFESTATIONS: The Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ
78
THE HOLY SPIRIT: GOD'S POWER FORCE
The Bible describes the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of the One True God in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament as the Spirit of Jesus Christ. There is no distinction between the two, for the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Jesus are synonymous or the same Spirit. God uses the Holy Spirit to accomplish His great feats of creation, gives power to people to rule, and power of instruction and warning.
Nowhere in the Bible is the term "Spirit of God" or the "Spirit of Jesus Christ" called or classified as a "person" as claimed by the Trinitarians. God is a Spirit and His Spirit is a spirit. There is only one God in the Old Testament and Jesus is God in the flesh in the New Testament (John 1:1,14). God, The Spirit of God and Jesus Christ are the One and Only True God.
THE HOLY SPIRIT AS GOD IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
In the first two quotes, God refers to the Holy Spirit in the first person pronoun. The rest of the quotes are from Jesus, Paul and Peter quoting the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of God.
1. The Lord God said, "And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them" (Ezekiel 36:27).
2. "And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord" (Ezekial 37:14).
3. Jesus described the Holy Spirit in John 4:24: "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him spirit and in truth."
4. Paul in I Corinthians 12:6 quotes: "And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all."
5. Peter said in Acts 5:3.4: "Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost ... thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God."
THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
A. THE HOLY SPIRIT CREATES
The Spirit of God created many wonderful things, the earth and the heavens and gave life to human beings.
In the beginning of creation, the "Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters" (Genesis 1:2).
"Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created:" (Psalm 104:30).
"By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens" (Job 26:13).
"The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life" (Job 33:4).
B. THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES POWER TO PEOPLE
God gave power to different people like Joseph, Joshua, Bezalel, Samson and Daniel the ability to rule, leadership, knowledge, craftsmanship, strength and interpretation of dreams.
God's Spirit gave Joseph the ability to rule (Genesis 41:38-41).
Joshua was given leadership ability to lead the Israelites into the land of Canaan (Num 27:18-20; Deu 34:9).
God enabled seventy elders to rule over Israel (Num 11:16-17).
He gave knowledge and craftmanship to Bezalel and others (Ex 31:2-6; 35:30-31).
God gave Samson tremendous strength (Jud 14:6,19; 15:14; 16:28-30).
Daniel was given the ability to interpret the dreams of Nebuchadnezer (Dan 4:8-9,18; 5:14; cf 1:17-20).
C. THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES INSTRUCTION
The Holy Spirit gives Warning and Prophecy from the Prophets (Nehemiah 9:30; Zechariah 7:12; Hebrews 1:1; 2 Peter 1:21).
The Spirit of the Lord made David prophesy (1 Samuel 16:13; 2 Samuel 23:2).
God's spirit moved Zecharish to warn king Joash (2 Chronicles 24:20-22).. Micaiah predicted that king Ahab would die in the battlefield (1 Kings 22: 13-25).
God's spirit brought Ezekiel to speak about the captivity in Chaldea (Ezekiel 11:22-25).
The Spirit of the Lord made Micah declare the transgression of Israel (Micah 3:8).
GOD'S OTHER MANIFESTATION: JESUS CHRIST
GOD IN HUMAN FORM
Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh in John 1:1, 14.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (v. 14)And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth,..."
It is clearly seen in Isaiah 9:6 that Jesus is the Son and called Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. The Son and Father are blended into one.
JESUS is GOD of the Old Testament
1. God is the Creator (Gen 1:1; Neh 9:5; Isa 42:5). Jesus is the Creator (Jn 1:1-3; Col 1:16; Heb 1:10).
2. God is the Savior (Isa 43:11; Hos 13:4). Jesus is the Savior (Lk 2:11; Acts 4:12; Jude 24).
3. God is King (Ps 10:16; 96:10). Jesus is King (Rev 11:15).
4. God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords (Deu 10:17; Dan 2:47). Jesus is the Lord of lords (Rev 17:14; 19:16).
5. God is the Lord of life (Deu 32:39; Jer 38:16). Jesus is the Lord of life (Jn 1:4; 11:25; 14:6).
6. God is the first and the last (Isa 44:6; 48:12). Jesus is the first and the last (Rev 1:17; 22:13).
THE SPIRIT of JESUS in the NEW TESTAMENT
God gives the Spirit of God into the hearts of man and leads, guides and helps them to obey the commandments of God.
1. "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father" (Gal. 4:6).
2. "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (2 Co 3:17).
3. In the incident of the Ethiopian eunuch and Philip (Acts 8:26-29), the Spirit said unto Philip, "Go near and join thyself to this chariot" (v.29) ... "And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the the Lord caught away Philip" (v.39).
4. The disciples were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia (Acts 16:6).
5. "So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his" (Rom 8:8,9).
The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit (Ghost) and the Spirit of Jesus Christ are the same, for the Holy Spirit is God and is also Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
WIKIPEDIA
The Trinity is a Christian doctrine, stating that God exists as three persons, or in the Greek hypostases, but is one being.[1][2] The persons are understood to exist as God the Father, God the Son (incarnate as Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Since beginning of the third century[3] the doctrine of the Trinity has been stated as "that the one God exists in three Persons and one substance, Father, Son and Holy Spirit".[4]Trinitarianism, belief in the Trinity, is a mark of Oriental and Eastern Orthodoxy, Roman Catholicism and all the mainstream traditions arising from the Protestant Reformation, such as Anglicanism, Lutheranism and Presbyterianism; and the Trinity has been described as "the central dogma of Christian theology".[4]
Opposing nontrinitarian positions held by some groups include Binitarianism (two /persons/aspects), Unitarianism onedeity/person/aspect), the Oness belief held by certain Pentecostal groups, Modalism, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' view of the Godhead as three separate beings are one in purpose rather than essence.
IS "TRINITY" BIBLICALLY CORRECT? NO
No such word as "Trinity" exists in the whole Bible, but is a word coined in the third century by theologians. The Old Testament insists there is only one God and no one else. The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-6) tells us in the first three commandments, "I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the house of bondage. (3) Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
How can Christians who believe in the One True God classify "God" as a person, when throughout the Bible, He is said to be "Spirit"? How can the Spirit of God be named as a "Person" when He is called the "Spirit of the Lord?" How can man bring low the status of God to that of MAN? Man is not eternal. Man has earthly feelings and thoughts. God is righteous, self-existent and does not consult with other men for decisions. God is a Spirit, the Holy Spirit is "His Power Force" and Jesus Christ is GOD's HUMAN FORM." There is only ONE GOD!
ONE TRUE GOD
God, the Holy Spirit (power force), and Jesus Christ (human form) are the One true God, and not three persons in One as claimed by the Trinitarians.
"I and my Father are one" (John 10:30).
"There is none other God but one" (1 Corinthians 8:4).
"Unto thee it was shewed, that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him" (Deu 4:35; 6:4;).
"Neither is there any God beside thee" (2 Sam 7:22)
"Thou art God alone" (Ps 86:10).
"Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord" (Mark 12:29).
"there is none other God but one" (1 Cor 8:4).
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Tim 2:5).
"FOR THERE ARE THREE THAT BEAR RECORD IN HEAVEN, THE FATHER, THE WORD, AND THE HOLY GHOST: AND THESE THREE ARE ONE." (1 John 5:7).
AMEN

Hi,
Interested in your feedback on the enclosed Bible study concerning who might be the 7 spirits of God in the book of Revelation.
Your eternal friend in Jesus,
Richard
WILL GABRIEL SOUND THE 7TH AND LAST TRUMPET AT THE 2ND COMING OF THE SON OF DAVID AND COULD GABRIEL POSSIBLY BE DAVID? AND WHO ARE THE 7 SPIRITS OF GOD IN REVELATION??
Revelation 8:2: "I saw the 7 angels who STAND BEFORE GOD. And to them were given 7 Trumpets." Rev 10:7: "In the days when the 7th angel is about to sound his Trumpet the "MYSTERY" of God will be accomplished, just as He announced to His servants the prophets." As in I Cor 15:51,52: "Listen I tell you a "MYSTERY": We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the Last {And 7th} Trumpet. For the {7th & LAST} Trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." Rev 11:15-18: "The 7th angel sounded his {7th & LAST} Trumpet, and there were loud voices in Heaven which said: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of the Lord and His Christ… The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints… and for destroying those who destroy the earth.’" The 7th and last Trumpet which is to be sounded just before the 2nd Coming of Jesus is also mentioned in Matt 24:31 and I Thess 4:16 for a total of 7 times in God's Word.
Why do some believe that Gabriel may be the 7th Angel who will sound the 7th and last trumpet?? Gabriel was God’s messenger for the prophecy of the 70 7’s in Daniel 9:21-27 and Gabriel announced the birth of the Messiah Jesus to Mary in Luke 1:26-37. God also sent Gabriel to foretell the coming of John the Baptist to his father Zechariah. And in Luke 1:19 we read "The angel answered {Zechariah}, "I am Gabriel, I stand in the PRESENCE OF GOD {Just like the 7 angels with 7 trumpets STAND BEFORE GOD in Rev 8:2!} and I have been sent to you to tell you this good news."
Did you know that Daniel was inspired by God to call Gabriel a "MAN"! Daniel 9:21 "While I was still in prayer, Gabriel , the "MAN" I had seen in my earlier vision {See Dan 8:15,16} came to me in swift flight!" And so God's inspired Word absolutely confirms that Gabriel is a "MAN" and therefore not an angel!!
Gabriel is called both an angel in Luke 1:19 & 26 and a "MAN" {2 TIMES!} in Dan 8:15 & 9:21! Note: Gabriel in Hebrew means "BRAVE AND VALIANT MAN OF GOD"!
Why do some believe that the angel Gabriel may also be David?? Gabriel is mentioned just twice in the OT in Daniel 8:15 & 9:21 almost 500 years after the death of David. God has given another name to many of His favorite servants such as Saul {Paul} and Peter {Simon}. Gabriel in Hebrew means "brave and valiant "MAN" of God" and David was the bravest "MAN" of God in the OT {ie Goliath, etc etc etc}. David, who wrote most of the Psalms, was also a "MAN after God’s own heart" as per ACTS 13:22: "God made David their King. God testified concerning him, ‘I have found David son of Jesse a MAN AFTER MY OWN HEART; HE WILL DO EVERYTHING I WANT HIM TO DO.’"
All angels were created by God as angels and they do not later become men. The Greek word for angel is "angelos" and can be translated "angel" or "messenger". In Mathew 11:10; Mark 1:2 and Luke 7:27 John the Baptist is called "angelos" and he was certainly not an angel and so these verses correctly use the word "messenger" rather than "angel". And so when Gabriel is called an "angelos" in Luke 1:29 & 35 it could be translated "angel" or "messenger." The Hebrew word for angel is "MALAK" and is translated 'messenger' about 83 times in the OT including Malachi 2:7: "For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, and from his mouth men should seek instruction--because he is the MESSENGER {MALAK} of the Lord Almighty." "MALAK" is translated "ANGEL" 99 times and "MESSENGER" 83 times in the OT. "Angelos" is translated "angel" 169 times and "messenger" only 6 times in the NT. However, if Gabriel and the 7 angels in Revelation are rightly called "messengers" and not "angels" then "angelos" should be translated "messenger" about 70 times and "angel" about 105 times in the NT.
How can we be a man or a woman after God’s own heart?? First, we can read God’s wonderful Words every day {Ps 119:97} and every night {Ps 119:148} just like David who wrote Psalm 119. And we can hide God’s Word in our hearts so that we might not sin against Him {Ps 119:11} and we can obey God’s {NT now} commands with all of our hearts with love {Ps 119:34,37; Jer 29:13; Matt 22:37-40} just like David. And then if we obey all of God’s {NT} commands {James 1:22} and teach others to do the same {Matt 28:20a} we may then become a man or a woman after God’s own heart just like David in Acts 13:22!!
Jesus was born in the "Town of DAVID" {See Luke 2:4,11} and Jesus is called the "Son of DAVID" 17 times in the NT. Luke 1:26,27,31-33: God sent the angel {or messenger} Gabriel to Nazareth to a virgin pledged to a man Joseph, a descendant of DAVID… The messenger said to her …. "You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his FATHER DAVID, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, His Kingdom will never end."
David lived to age 70 and was the 7th son of Jesse {See 2 Chronicles 2:13-15}. God appointed Gabriel {Or David?} to announce the Prophecy of the 70 7’s which states in Daniel 9:24 "70 7’s have been decreed… to bring in everlasting righteousness!" and Gabriel {Or David??} may very well be the 7th angel OR MESSENGER to sound the 7th Trumpet that will bring in Everlasting Righteousness when the Son of DAVID born in the Town of DAVID and Who sits on the throne of DAVID comes again!!
WHO ARE THE 7 SPIRITS OF GOD IN REVELATION??
Rev 4:5b: "BEFORE God’s Throne, 7 lamps are blazing. These are the 7 spirits of God!" Rev 8:2: "I saw the 7 angels {Or 7 messengers} who STAND BEFORE God, and to them were given 7 Trumpets." Question?? Are the 7 angels OR MESSENGERS who STAND BEFORE God also the 7 lamps BEFORE God’s Throne who are the 7 spirits of God?? Hebrews 1:14 states that "ALL ANGELS OR MESSENGERS ARE ministering SPIRITS."
The 7 spirits of God are mentioned 4 times in God’s Word as follows" Rev 1:4: "'Grace and peace' to you from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come and from the 7 spirits BEFORE His Throne and from Jesus Christ, who is the Faithful Witness." Rev 4:5b: "BEFORE God's Throne, 7 lamps are blazing. These are the 7 spirits of God." The 7 spirits are 7 distinct beings who can communicate and are before God’s Throne and do not have a throne of their own. Rev 3:1: Jesus said, "These are the Words of Him who HOLDS the 7 spirits of God." Rev 5:6 "The Lamb has 7 horns and 7 eyes, which are the 7 spirits of God sent out into all the earth." Jesus HOLDS or controls the 7 spirits and sends them out [AS MESSENGERS] into all the earth.
There are some who say that the 7 spirits {Plural} of God should be translated the 7-fold spirit {Singular} of God. And they site Isaiah 11:2 as proof of this since they say that the Spirit of the Lord has 6 attributes in this verse. However Isaiah 11:1 shows that these 6 attributes of the spirit are actually 6 attributes of Jesus who is the Shoot or Branch of Jesse: Isaiah 11:1,2: "A Shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch {Jesus} will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest upon Him {Jesus not the holy spirit or 7 spirits of God}--the Spirit of {1} wisdom and of {2} understanding, the Spirit of {3} counsel and of {4} power, the Spirit of {5} knowledge and the {6} fear of the Lord."
Rev 1:20;16a; 3:1: Jes
I say the Holy Spirit is The Lord God as Jesus said you can only get to the Father thur him and that you can ask the Father for anything in his name
Dear Fellow Hubbers,
The argument of the Godhead that is centered on the word “Person” is very unfortunate because it divides Christians. I have studied both the Trinitarian and the Oneness Pentecostal theologies and discovered they are almost identical except for the word “Person”. Both theologies state the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the One True God. Both deny there are three gods. Both agree the Three are One. If we do not use the word “Person” to describe the Godhead of the One True God there will be no arguments.
Christians should not argue and fight one another when we all agree that God is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Christianity’s common enemy is Judaism and Islam that do not believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, much less the Almighty God Himself. Even more dangerous are those who claim to be Christians but they are not – The Jehovah Witnesses, Unitarians, Christian Scientists, Christadelphians, New Age Movement, Freemasonry, etc – the list goes on. They are heretics that twist the Scriptures to propagate Satan’s great big lie that the Lord Jesus Christ is only the Son of God but not the One True God. Not believing Jesus Christ is the One True God will lead one to hell (John 8:23-27).
The second argument on this Hub is whether or not God is a Man. God is God and man is man. God is divine and man is human. God is immortal - He cannot die. Man is mortal - he can die. For the sake of saving mankind from sin God became a man so that He could die and shed blood and redeem man from sin. This is the only way that God saves man. Here is the truth about the Lord Jesus Christ who has two natures – one is divine and the other is human. He is both God and Man. In His Spirit Jesus is God, therefore He states “God is Spirit” (John 4:24). In His flesh He is a Man. “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,” (1 Tim. 2:5).
I hope that this comment will help to clear up some confusion, and help all of us to understand the truth and bring Christians closer to one another. May God bless y’all.
Arkwriter
Good job and yes just like Arkwritter said everything you wrote is completly true, It is only the advocate "Jesus Christ who can speak on our behalf to God Almighty, We must be humble and willing to go to a bended knee and praise our Lord and Savior knowing we are so un-worthy of everything he has given us!
God Bless Good Job
You have stated that God is the Father, Jesus is God in the flesh, and the Holy Spirit is God in us. This is what the "trinity" word means. Three in ONE. The word Elohim is PLURAL (Hebrew #430) of the ONE God (Hebrew #433) Eloahh. Elohim created the earth (John 1:1). The Word was with God and the Word was God. We are told that Elohim created, the Word was spoken, the Spirit moved. Also, in Isaiah 40:3 states to prepare ye the way of the LORD (Jehovah) Hebrew #3068. John the Baptist quoted Isaiah when he claimed to be the one prophesied preparing the way of Jesus, our Lord (John 1:23). Jesus was of course crucified for claiming to be God, forgiving sins and so forth.
Just like the English word HELL is used for Sheowl, Hades, Tartaroos and Geenna, the word RAPTURE is used in reference to being "caught up" in the clouds when Jesus comes, the word TRINITY is used to describe God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. In Jesus dwelt the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily. Jesus prayed to His Father. Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on the disciples. Jesus left to sit at the right hand of His Father and sent us the Holy Spirit. We pray to God though we are indwelt with His Holy Spirit.
As far as "persons" go? Do we not refer to God as "He" and Jesus as "He" and the Spirit as "He". Indeed this personifies each as "He".
Even in Revelation when John saw God and the Lamb, he speaks of hands, sitting, feet and so forth. We are made in His image. He gave us a physical body. The world was created and it is indeed physical. The LIFE is the Spirit (breath or blast of air) AMEN.
Nothing in your hub appears to be wrong, just your predisposition that those who use this WORD of TRINITY are UNSAVED. I would admonish you in doing this. In His love, Carrie
Well, I appreciate your passion about this subject. The word "persons" is used to describe His three attributes and operations (again, the Word uses "He" so we can understand better). Jesus was God in the flesh. He said, if we have seen Him (in the flesh), we have seen the Father. Yes, God is Spirit. There is NO ARGUMENT from Christians saved by the blood of the Lamb. It's merely a matter of explaining Elohim, the plural of the ONE Divine God who works in three manifestations as shown throughout the Word.
God bless you!
einron, I just looked up the word "one" in the passages quoted above (John 10:30 and 1 Cor 8:4) They are from the Greek word #1520 heis (as in one another). It is the same "one" as used to describe the husband and wife being ONE (Greek #3391 mia, feminine of 1520) in 1 Cor 6:16. I hope this shines some light on the subject :-) God bless you and those who read. AMEN
Hey there einron
Seems all have had a say.
Well here is mine. the key word is " us" and who is " us" and second key word is " our" ....
Ge:1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
"US" refers to Gods make up
Ge:1:2: And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Ge:1:3: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Ge:2:4: These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
First mentioned " Spirit of God"
Second is mentioned "God said" ... Word of God
Third mentioned " LORD God".
God was never called Father in the OT, only Jesus taught about the Father.
I covered this in Gods description on my hub.
God bless, we at least believe in Jesus Christ which is the most important
<<ANSWER: True. In the OT God was more impersonal and more removed than in the NT. Jesus introduced God as a Father to us in the NT. Likewise the Holy Spirit is said to dwell in our hearts and guide us in our daily life,>>
I do not think that is true.
"Do you thus repay the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is not He your Father who has bought you? He has made you and established you. (Deuteronomy 32:6)"He will cry to Me, 'Thou art my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.' (Psalm 89:26)For Thou art our Father, though Abraham does not know us, And Israel does not recognize us. Thou, O LORD, art our Father, Our Redeemer from of old is Thy name. (Isaiah 63:16)But now, O LORD, Thou art our Father, We are the clay, and Thou our potter; And all of us are the work of Thy hand. (Isaiah 64:8)"Have you not just now called to Me, 'My Father, Thou art the friend of my youth? (Jeremiah 3:4)"Then I said, 'How I would set you among My sons, And give you a pleasant land, The most beautiful inheritance of the nations!' And I said, 'You shall call Me, My Father, And not turn away from following Me.' (Jeremiah 3:19)
Hi there. You said:
THE MIGHTY GOD AND JESUS
The mighty God is omnipresent, omnipotent and all powerful. As proved by various people throughout the ages, there is only one God in the universe and that God dwells in heaven, is not seen by human beings as evidenced by Moses, Samuel, David, Mark and Paul. Who then is Jesus Christ but God's manifestation as His son on earth. All power is given to Jesus Christ on earth to act on behalf of God in heaven.
To which I conclude:
Since...the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among US...
All power is given to US on earth to act on behalf of God in heaven.
and suggest:
This power is our own human imagination.
1rst Timothy 3:16 states that GOD was manifest in the flesh. This is of course speaking about JESUS. So JESUS was GOD manifest in the flesh In Matthew 28:18 states that JESUS has all power in heaven and in earth. Now if JESUS CHRIST has all power in heaven and in earth then JESUS CHRIST has to be GOD ALMIGHTY. Because only GOD ALMIGHTY has ALL power . As a matter of fact Revelation 1:7,8,11 Declare that JESUS is the alpha and omega, the first and the last, and the ALMIGHTY. Now ,how many firsts and lasts csn there be and how many almighty's can there be ? ONLY ONE.
What is Fathr GOD'S name to the New Testament Church? It is JESUS. St. John 5:43 says that JESUS came in His Father's name. St. John 17:6 JESUS tolf the Father that He had manifested His name. What name did He manifest? JESUS.
Of course we know that the name of the Son is JESUS but what is the name of the Holy Ghost? According to St.John 14:26 JESUS told his apostles he was going away and that he would send them another comforter and that he would send this other comforter in His name . What name is that? JESUS .That is why that the apostles always Baptized in the name of JESUS CHRIST because they had the revelation that JESUS was the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost. It should bother folks a little to be able to look and see for themselves that there was never a baptism in the bible performed into the Titles Father,Son,and Holy Ghost but always in the name of JESUS CHRIST. The name of the Father,Son,and Holy Ghost is the LORD JESUS CHRIST. The apostles knew what Matthew 28:19 meant but most so-called preachers and evangelist do not obey matthew 28:19 they merely repeat the command instead of obeying it.
Good hub..the God Trinity is true...i know...i was made in His image...No.3 of God...
hey enron hello I wrote a hub Hub 'Holy Spirit like the Wind' It was a challenge because the Holy Spirit is Magnificant to say the least. I give God the Glory.
I read your hub and went hmmm. I could not figure your beliefs. You have the scripture but it seems a bit turned around in my opinion. I am not
attacking you by any point. I just believe the Holy Spirit is simple iin the fact Jesus said he left us with a comforter, teacher guide. He did not leave us alone but with the Holy Spirit.. My prayer is the lost will be found. Jesus is the one way to Heaven. The path is narrow. When Born Again the spirit will be present with us,in us,on us,around us for our good. So we can understand scripture and know. The gifts of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, understanding, kindness, meekness, self control discernment.
Love Peace Blessing
The Holy Spirit will reveal himself.
Blessings and Peace.
Check out my hub you may enjoy it. Blessings and peace. Jesus loves us.
That was a wonderful explanation of the Godhead. I have tried to explain it to alot of people and most of them don't get it. Some do get it. God is a Spirit (singular) Jn 4:24.
Deut 6:4 says hear o Israel, the Lord our God is one. Rev 1:8 says Jesus is the almighty God. Isaiah 9:6 calls him a Son given, the everlasting father (el olam). There are just three manifestaions of the one true God, father in creation, son in redemption and Holy Spirit in indwelling presence.
Excellent Hub - Thankyou for the encouragment
Well, you've nailed it ~ God manifests Himself in the Old Testament in Spirit (with the exception of His appearance to Abraham - which was really Christ Jesus :-), and then in the New Testament in the flesh of Jesus Christ!! Now again, by His Spirit until we see Him face to face!! Hallelujah!! Praise God!! May He truly reveal Himself to His flock, for He desires that we know Him, the one, true God! (1 John 5:20)
I hope you don't mind, but I linked your hub to my latest...awesome!!
I did want to say something about the "right hand of God" passages, in that this is symbolic of the power of God, which is also the characteristic of the Spirit of God (Acts 1:8). It's not to be taken literally, as though Jesus Christ is at the right 'side' of God. It took me awhile to not only let the Lord reveal all of this to me, but He went beyond...
He's shown me so much more about 'elohim' and the term HOO needs to understand ~ "Let Us make man in Our image"...I liked what you said about "Us" and royalty, for we are a 'royal priesthood, a holy nation'; amen! Truly the Word was not with (par - beside) God, but was TO (pros) God (Elohim), as elohim existed before man was created. The short definition of the word "Elohim" is angels, yet includes God's magistrates, too. And, truly, the 'sons of the Most High' (children of God by faith) are also 'elohim'!! The LORD (Yehovah) is the LORD God (the LORD of elohim) who created man in His image!! While man thinks the 'image of God' is literal, he needs to understand the Hebrew and Greek words for 'image' also.
So much, so much, so much God wants to show us! This was really difficult to submit to His knowledge, for it truly is above our carnal understanding and can ONLY come from the Holy Spirit! It about 'blew' my mind and I've done my best to write about it all in several hubs. God bless!!!
We become children of God when we are 'born again' (infants in Christ). Your definition of "right hand" would indicate Jesus was given authority to act on behalf of another person, in which we know God is not a 'person'. If you do a study on "right hand" in the Bible, it is clear this represents the power and authority of the Spirit, Who is God, Who is Jesus. Amen :-)

Hi there yes God has purposed us from before the foundation of the world that we are in him, but to achieve that God would carry out his Grace and make it possible without human intervention or require human participation.
Jesus is God, he is God as man, the Holy Spirit is God as a Spirit.
For God to live in man he had to be Spirit, or he could not as a human come and live in a person. All this is God manifesting himself to fulfill the role and keep his promise.
Father Word (Son) and Holy Spirit were there in the beginning.
Ge:1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image (tselem), after our likeness(d?muwth): and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
"Our Image" = tselem (Hebrew)....image, likeness (of resemblance)
"Our likeness" = d?muwth (Hebrew)..... likeness, similitude
Take note of the words "Us" and "Our" who is "us" and who is "our"

go well
HOO just said God was speaking to Himself as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost in the beginning. He can not be One LORD and be a plural God (as in persons). God was not consistent throughout the Bible in referring to Himself as "Us" when He spoke. There's more to this, and it's in my hub "GOD: Let Us Make Man In Our Image?" Blessings :-)
AMEN! Does he refer to himself as "we" and "us"? That would be a bit strange...
So you are splitting God from the Holy Spirit? I'm confused, based on your hub???
Hi "einron",
I've enjoyed many of your articles... The one above about how the Holy Spirit operates is a detailed work and I know there is a glorious personal testimony to go with it!

Good day everyone,
Read through the comments and one thing came emmediately to my mind - Don't let the enemy rob you of the SIMPLICITY that is in Christ Jesus (1Cor11v3). It is easy to make the Word of God a "court case" where we need evidence of everything - it can really become complex and not simple! Remember we only "know in part" and thus, we don't need to know in full ...yet! (1 Cor 13v9)
The NT also states that the "Letter of the Word kills" (2Cor3v6). We can also easily get involved in the "letter of the Word" (like the pharisees) ... and miss the "inspired Word of God". Yes, the Bible states that we must "meditate the Word" - we can do it in its simplicity.
Understanding the simplicity of the sermon on the mount and the invitations through the NT to die in ones fleshly nature and to find a life in the Spirit, opens up a world where we can experience the kingdom of heaven (NOW!!!) full of spiritual blessings!! a real new life in its fulness.
(Jer33v3, Mat7v7, Matt16v19, John10v9, Col3v2, Rev21v6, John1v51, Rom8v14). Johan@thecross.co.za
A quick note: 1:John 5:7 has been removed from all the perversions of the Bible. How does removing this verse from the Bible make the bible easier to read and understand? It doesn't.

Amen .I agree JESUS is the truth the way and the light . I was baptised in the name of JESUS . There is no other name like that perfect name and fill with his holy spirit . Nothing on this page was not in the bible read your bibles not just part of it the whole thing
("Holy Spirit")Matt.3:16-As soon as Jesus was baptized,He went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on Him."Now we see Jesus, standing apart from God,with his on Spirit because He is alive and now the Holy Spirit of God lights on Him. Now lets look at what Jesus said in John17:11-"And now I am no more in this world, but these are in the world, and I come to Thee.Holy Father;Keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me,(That They May Be One as We Are.")how?By the same Spirit.I am not God nor am I Jesus, but He sayes I Can Be One As They are ONE!
Jesus (god in the flesh) called him self i am,Who was called i am in the old test.?Yes..The lord said no other god,ONE god not 3.Read isaih 9:6.He tells philip,if you saw me,You saw the father,Jesus as teaching here on earth,so yeah he did talk to the father.Worship one god,put no other god(s) before him.Thinking fleshley, thinking humanley,it might seem like 3,But think in spirit and god is spirit not man,And you will see there is only one. There IS NOT any other name more powerfull, mighty,Than jesus
I read this article and wanted to make a comment. I agree there is ONE God. I believe Jesus is God and I believe the Holy Spirit is God and I believe the Father whom Jesus speaks to, is God. You will not find the word Trinity in the bible because this was not an existing word to explain the belief in the Doctrine of God as three persons in one at that time. I see the bible does do a great job at pointing out the deity of the Father, Son, and Spirit as you have shown. However there is way too much you are over looking to claim that Trinitarian belief is wrong. I believe is it wrong to think God is not so complex-ed. We are the creation and not the Creator. There is much more to God then we can fathom. Such as there is a lot of unique plurality of God hinted at in the old testament as well. I think we would be condensing God into OUR image as Christians to say that God cannot exist as three persons in one God. Basically I do not believe there are different 'manifestations' of God as He is transforming into different beings with different roles as time progresses. As you posted.: "FOR THERE ARE THREE THAT BEAR RECORD IN HEAVEN, THE FATHER, THE WORD, AND THE HOLY GHOST: AND THESE THREE ARE ONE." (1 John 5:7). If your theory was correct I believe it would have said, "There is one who bears record in heaven, the father, as is the Son, who is the Holy Ghost." Peace..
God bless you Einron!!!
Why is it so hard for some people to believe that God manafested his self into Jesus? We are talking about someone that spoke this world int exetistence.Pray for God to show you the truth.
Angels are sons of god... just like adam is a son off god.. for they were created by him. We are children of men.
Oh and the holy Spirit is mother of all living ,she is the beloved of our souls. She became fond of mankind.
If the catholic church is really trying to lead people to God then why do they continually ignore this passage in Deuteronomy?:"15Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,
18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
20 But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day. "????
I also cannot comprehend trinity as persons, but your explanetion of godhead makes sense,Christ is God and father and spirit fits in together, there is religions there who say Christ is the Son of God,and not God,that is a confusing statement to me,regards
yes I get that, but JW and CD's say that this means that Christ was on God's mind, that Christ only became to existence at birth,I believe Christ was existing from the beginning,ie:Heb1:10 creation done by Christ,Titus2:13...Jesus God and Savior and 1Tim3:16 great explanation of the mystory that is not accepted by those religions.Anyone who does not agree with them are called pagans and unbelievers.I do like your view of God.regards
Jesus called his Father the only true God. Many times Jesus said that his Father was his God. The Apostles said Jesus had a God. If Jesus was God how could he have a God? God said that he was not a man and in Romans 1 Paul says that God is not a man. Could Jesus have been created by God for the reason of being our messiah. Death came from the man Adam but the resurrection from the man Jesus. To be human Jesus had to have a human spirit but he also had the Holy Spirit in full measure and could this have been the power that God and Jesus were united in? Are there two Gods? Is there only one God? This issue needs far more study and prayer to arrive at the truth.
God said: "I am what I am",in other words,we do not need to know, just accept what He is,Jesus said:My Father and I are one,and also:you have seen me,you have seen the Father,my Father is in me and I am in my Father...
thanks einron, yes there is only one God,regards,
Hello enrion, I have a comment about God(Father,Son,Holy Spirit). It is wise not to call him a person because in not made of flesh but of a Spirit form. Jesus talks alot about the Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit. He talks how to pray to God the Father and to ask the Father for the Holy Spirit. On JESUS baptism he The Father spoke and the Holy Spirit descended upon him. Is God talking to him self descending upon himself? On Mattew Jesus gives an order to go to the world and baptized in the name of the Father,Son,and the Holy Spirit. It seems that people have taken out the this verse out of context. Why disciples baptized without the three Spirits(Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit). And yes its true they are not persons. The devil trys to mimic God in everything he does. My question is "Does God talks to himself? I believe that the God the Father, Son,and Holy Spirit concord. Last thing,Stevan the diciple. When he was stone and before he died, he said that he saw the heavens open up that Jesus was standing next to the throne of God.

From what I understand about the trinity is not that the Trinity is divided but that it is three parts of the same God. For example you are one person but you have three parts, body soul and spirit. In Matthew Jesus speaks about his "Father in Heaven" Matthew 7:11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!Matthew 7:10-12 (in Context) Matthew 7 (Whole Chapter) Matthew 7:21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Now since Jesus was speaking the very words of God, it is clear that the spirit is not the same as the father, yet they are one God. What are your thoughts on those two scriptures?
